CP Football Philippines Launches Special Futbol Clubs in Pasig City

RIZAL HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASIUM, Saturday, February 29, 9am … the Pasig City PWD Office successfully launched its Special Futbol clubs for boys and girls ages 14-under & 15-0ver. Special Futbol coaches from CP Football Philippines (Robert, Roy, Glenn and Jovy) conducted the clinic and tryouts for the differently abled athletes.

The 14-Under team is competing in the SM Megamall tournament on May 29, while the 15-0ver is preparing for a tournament planned for July. Both Special teams will be led by LGU (Local Government Unit) appointed SPED coaches Gerry Dela Cruz and Jun Indiano and supported by Pasig City resident coaches Glenn and Jovy.

The Pasig City Special Futbol launch was organized by the PWD Office headed by president Marcial Lowie dela Cruz and ably assisted by Julius Bandill. City Mayor Vico Sotto graced the event.

Mandaluyong, Paranaque, Taguig, Muntinlupa, Las Pinas, Carmona and Makati Cities are also expected to launch their Special Futbol programs in support of the advances made in 2019 by CP Football Philippines in encouraging and developing football for the differently abled.

Seven (7) Disabilities for boys and girls have been agreed upon by the organizers of Special Futbol: autism, visual impairment, adhd, deaf/hearing impairment, down syndrome, intellectually challenged and cerebral palsy.
